In which Facebook, Actively Practices & Promotes Homophobia:
This is perplexing. And annoying. And infuriating.
I woke up this morning to an email from Facebook with the subject “Facebook Warning”:

I love the Wonder Woman shoe you made! Could you perhaps tell me how you did it? Or at least what you used?
Respond in my ask if you'd like, thanks!
It takes a lot of patience. I wasn’t exaggerating when I said one shoe represented about 8 hours of work. You have to take it slow and steady and be prepared to make mistakes, especially if you’ve never played around with Decoupage before (which you totally should, it’s super fun!).
Supply wise, I use Royal Coat Decoupage finish, which is glue and sealant in one. I get mine at Walmart it’s about $15 for 16oz and it’s the best decoupage glue I’ve tried, some of them are just too thick and paste like for my taste. I use a synthetic fiber pant brush to apply the glue and a basic, small size plaster spatula (plastic - home depot paint isle) to help smooth out wrinkles and push out air bubbles. Other things you’ll want/need is a nice sized space and table, scissors, X-acto and small dish to put small amounts of glue at a time in, water in a disposible cup to clean off your paint brush from time to time, paper towels, and the art you want to use.
Art wise, for comics, older comics with the newspaper like pages are best/easiest to use. Avoid covers when doing anything that isn’t flat, they are just too thick to work really well on anything else. The smaller the piece the easier it is to work with, especially on curves. Have LOTS of bits chosen and cut out so that you can have loads of choices about what to use where. For other art, the thinner the paper the better.
@BlueJacketsNHLNHL Blue Jackets#CBJ LW Rick Nash, C Antoine Vermette & D Marc Methot have been named to Team Canada’s roster for the 2011 IIHF World Championship. Marc “The Sieve” Methot? Really? …okay then Canada, okay.
Hearing rumors that the next Batman flick is gonna have Harley Quinn as a villain. assuming that is true.......thoughts??
It’s totally not true, but if it were I’d be totally cool with it as Harley is AWESOME! Although I might have a slight issue with it just from sheer numbers of “villains” that would mean were in the one movie.
Casting her would be something else completely because I have no clue who I think would be right for the part.
Columbus Blue Jackets Head Coach Scott Arniel Named Associate Coach for Team Canada at 2011 World Championships
Monday, 04.11.2011 / 4:37 PM / NewsBy Blue Jackets Staff - WriterCOLUMBUS, OHIO – Hockey Canada General Manager David Nonis announced April that Columbus Blue Jackets head coach Scott Arniel will serve as an associate coach for the team at the 2011 IIHF World Championship, which will take place April 29-May 15 in Bratislava and Kosice, Slovakia. Arniel joins Peter DeBoer on the Team Canada coaching staff, which will be led by former Blue Jackets head coach and current special advisor Ken Hitchcock, who was named as the squad’s head coach.
"As a management group, we are extremely pleased with the coaching staff that we have assembled," said Nonis. "Ken, Scott and Peter bring a variety of experience at both the international and professional levels. We know that they will have our team prepared for all the challenges ahead in our quest for a gold medal."
Arniel, 48, has just completed his first season as head coach of the Blue Jackets. The native of Kingston, Ontario previously served as head coach of the AHL’s Manitoba Moose (2006-10), leading the team to four playoff appearances and to the Calder Cup Final in 2009. Arniel also served as an assistant coach with the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres from 2002-06. As a player, Arniel played parts of 11 seasons in the NHL from 1981-92, with Buffalo, Winnipeg and Boston. He also played for Canada’s National Junior Team at the 1981 and 1982 IIHF World Junior Championships, capturing a gold medal in 1982.
Hitchcock, 60, has coached Canada on the international stage on seven occasions, including as a head coach at the 2008 IIHF World Championship, where Canada won silver, and as associate coach at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympic Winter Games, winning two gold medals. He is a special advisor with the Blue Jackets and served as head coach in the NHL for 14 seasons, with Columbus, Philadelphia and Dallas, amassing 543 wins over that time and leading the Stars to the 1999 Stanley Cup championship.
DeBoer, 43, served as the head coach of the Florida Panthers for the past three seasons. This will mark DeBoer’s sixth time behind the bench for Team Canada, serving most recently as an associate coach for Canada at the 2010 IIHF World Championship. He was also an assistant coach for Canada’s National Junior Teams at the 2007 Canada/Russia Super Series, the 1998 and 2005 World Junior Championships, winning a gold medal in 1998.
Team Canada will assemble in Europe on April 22 and play two pre-competition games, on April 24 vs. France in Paris and on April 27 vs. the Czech Republic in Prague. Canada will be based in Kosice, Slovakia for the preliminary round.
This is AWESOME! I kind of love Scott Arniel so I’m completely happy for him! Plus I utterly believe that he will take us to the playoff next season! GO ARNIE!
It just doesn’t work. Thanks for playing, try again.
Yeah, whatevs. EVERY team is better than the Wankees. Why? Simple, because it should be, in the overall scheme of things, about who has the best talent & heart, not who has the most money to throw around or who can be the biggest douche wagon with the long douche wagon train (that’d be the fans in case you didn’t get it).
It’s all part of the reason I don’t bother to follow baseball anymore.
edit because I total put the wrong word in there somewhere.
