Hey it’s Hawkblock guy!
He was kind enough to lend his mask to Verne at Denver Comic Con.
Also hella brave.I wanna make a bunch of inappropriate jokes about how this guy’s cosplay was him “asking for it,” and wondering how many girls hit on him whike he was “dressed” like that, and what would his parents think? But I don’t want him to see this and feel any more uncomfortable than he probably already did. So I’ll just reblog this, instead, because it’s awesome.
As Naked Hawkguy’s handler from that day at DCC, I can honestly say he wasn’t hit on at all. He got a lot of high-fives, awkward stares, and people stammering “Nice tattoo, man.” He also did plenty of Hawkeye Initiative-style poses throughout the day, much to the amusement of the female Clint Barton cosplayers we ran into! :)
So what you’re saying is scantily-clad men AREN’T treated as poorly as scantily-clad women are treated?
Astonishing! Maybe society needs to reconsider the way we treat everybody and just be more equal about it.
Not to mention that no one questioned his comic book knowledge/cred, quizzing him on the history of his character (this regularly happens to me and my fellow lady cosplayers). It was understood that if he was dressing that way, there was a reason.

i only needed Tony, Iron Man, and Hawkeye to complete my collection, so when my dad came home with this, i was crossing my fingers that they were all in here
